City tour and Kuang si waterfall full day adventure, on your mountain bike in Luang prabang Lao PDR

We’ll start with a trip to the Morning Market, a lively street where locals stock up on all sort of interesting supplies, from colorful vegetables to live frogs.

Then we’ll step from the energy of the market into the serene calm of one of the city’s most sumptuous monasteries, Wat Mai, and, afterwards, to the former King's Palace, now the National Museum. There, you’ll learn about the past and present of Luang Prabang. From there, we will visit the beautiful and ancient Wat Xieng Thong temple, with its spectacular low sweeping stylistic roof.

After the ferry crossing, ride a short distance on the tarmac road and get accustomed to your mountain bike. You then cycle heading north on single tracks passing through lush rice fields and local villages. Your guide will stop and let you have a rest before the start of the big climb!

You will cross several streams with clean fresh water, you won't be able to resist slashing your face to cool down and rest. once you reach the top of the mountain make the most of the photo opportunity before to head down to meet the Mekong River again on the border of Oudomxay Province. You will rest and get some drinks and food. Now enjoy a boat ride down the Mekong River to Luang Prabang, stopping at the famous Pak Ou caves on the way.

If you have the energy you can walk up the 218 steps and visit the top cave as well.

BIKING & KAYAKING THROUGH THE NAM KHAN RIVER VALLEY

High water season, August to October:

This tour around Luang Prabang combines mountain biking with an easygoing kayaking trip.

It brings exactly the right refreshment into your tropical day in Luang Prabang and takes you to some of the best sites, including golden temples overlooking the city and Henri Mouhot’s grave.

After a biking tour through the Nam Khan valley and diverse village visits we take a break on the banks of the Nam Khan River.

After lunch we take a refreshing plunge at Tad Sae Waterfall then we get our kayaks to paddle downriver on the Nam Khan back to Luang Prabang

A 30 km Bike ride outside of Luang prabang on paved roads up to Kuang si Falls

This tour takes you on a great 30 km bike ride outside of Luang Prabang on paved road to Kuang Si Waterfall, the most beautiful waterfall in the area surrounded with lush jungle. You can swim, visit an Asiatic Bear Sanctuary, and explore the local jungle. After the great ride and a refreshing swim, we’ll enjoy a cruise on a long boat up the mighty Mekong River return to Luang Prabang.

We’ll board one of our boats for a scenic ride upriver to the Tad Sae waterfall where we’ll have lunch and enjoy the beautiful area with time to swim and explore.

This is a medium circuit similar to our BM1-1 tour but with both on- and off-road sections, a few more hills, and a river crossing by boat into local villages.

The tour will take you to explore famous paper and weaving villages; through rice paddies, jungle and mountain landscape; and to the Nam Khan River and Tad Sae Waterfall (seasonal). Enjoy a day of biking through the foothills of mountains surrounding Luang Prabang to see jungle, village life, nature, and waterfalls.

We’ll return by boat to our bikes and cycle through beautiful scenery on our return ride by paved road to Luang Prabang city.

Total biking is 46 km (29 mi) on mixed dirt and paved road with some hills.

A wonderful 4 hour adventure into the forest of Nam kat yourla pa, combining Cycling, Trekking, 13 sky bridge walking about 1 km, down to  the waterfalls

the journey is around 5 km, we will depart form the Tour center at 13:00 pm be there 30 minutes before to gear up and get ready for the adventure.

Cycling will be the first adventure towards Nam kat waterfall around 5 km. when we reach the entrance, you will trek pass the jungle and walk over 13 sky bridges above the canopy for 1 km, relax and enjoy the waterfall, trekking to the entrance and cycling back to to the Tour desk.

This is a 35 kilometer bike ride on mostly paved roads winding through jungle and rice paddies.

The highlights include elephant interactions on the beautiful banks of the Nam Khan River, Wat Pa Phon Phao temple,

visit to Henri Mouhot’s tomb on the banks of the river, and swimming at the Tad Sae Waterfall (seasonal) or take a short jungle walk to see a baby elephant in the jungle.

The “Small Chili” is perfect for medium biking, mixed paved and dirt road along the Mekong, Nam Xuang, and Nam Khan Rivers through jungle and villages.

You'll ride from city center out of town and through diverse countryside seeing villages along the Mekong River, jungle covered mountains, and villages amongst vast rice paddies worked by hill tribe villages.

We’ll meet early morning to size up on our quality mountain bikes and then ride out of town heading north along the Mekong River.  After crossing the old communist bridge, make a stop to visit Xieng Lek Village, famous for its mulberry paper and weaving.  Next, turn up the Nam Xuang River going past villages and beautiful countryside scenery. The pavement ends and it’s then off-road into the countryside up and down hills past rice paddies and local villages.

We'll ride through vast rice paddies and jungle dotted with Lao Leum, Hmong, and Khmu villages with locals tending to the daily activities of Lao agrarian life. The last leg of today's ride will take us along the Nam Khan River.
