Setting foot at the Mekong Elephant Park:
After crossing the mighty Mekong, your guide will begin by
introducing the team, the sanctuary, its mission and initiatives towards animal welfare. Visitors will also be given
an in- depth presentation of our elephants, explain their very own story, their family ties without forgetting to
hear about the special bonds they all individually share with their mahout.
Meeting the elephants:
Enter the pure primary forest and meet the elephants in their natural habitat. At the
Mekong Elephant Park, we do not allow physical interactions between visitors and the elephants. We
encourage passive observation as believe we are the invitees to their world, their environment and wish to just
let them be.
Happy Times together:
Your guide will take you to the 3 acre size recreational area where all the elephants
gather during the day. Observe the elephants in their leisure area and see how each elephant plays its role in
the herd.
Elephant Bath:
Experience a pure moment of fun as elephants toss and roll around in the river pool. And please
don’t be disappointed if they decide not to take a dip… we leave it up to them if they feel they need to cool
off or not.
Farewells: From the sanctuary’s sandy beach, visitors will say their goodbyes and be transferred by boat back
to Pakbeng

CANCELLATIONS / AMENDMENT / NO SHOW
For both FIT & GIT:
If a reservation is cancelled or modified between 30 to 15 days prior to the arrival date 30% of the total
amount will be charged.
If a reservation is cancelled or modified between 15 to 3 days prior to the arrival date 50% of the total
amount will be charged.
If a reservation is cancelled or modified less than 3 days prior to the arrival date, or in case of no-show, then
100% of the total amount will be charged.
ACCIDENT WAIVER & RELEASE OF LIABILITY
We understand that the Mekong Elephant Park will not be held legally responsible or liable for any
accidents that occur, any medical expenses in cured, or any damage or loss of property during a visit on
site.
We agree that in the event that I/we require basic emergency medical care, I/we give permission for
Mekong Elephant Park staff to provide such care and/or to seek professional medical advice or treatment
if necessary.
We understand whilst on site, I/we may be photographed. I/We agree to allow photos, videos of film
likeness to be used for any legitimate purpose (ex: brochures, social media…)
All visitors to the Mekong Elephant Park are requested to fill in and sign an online accident and liability
waiver. It is the responsibility of the agent/DMC/Tour Operator to make sure that all guests have completed
this process.
