You will explore the beautiful Northern part of Laos by spending overnight in a Homestay.

Itinerary

Day 1: Boat cruise to explore villages and trekking

Day one is a full day with a cruise and trekking to homestay.

You will be picked up from your accommodation at 8:30am. Get on the boat cursing upstream for 40 minutes to Hauy Hoy, a Khmu village, this is rice farm where you will explore for their living life.

After the visit to the village you will trek about 2 hours passing rice paddies and up to Jungle Mountain and slops into limestone valley heading to a plateau where the Hmong village located is.

You will break here for lunch and chat with local people will tell you about their story which is translated by the tour guide.

After your lunch you will head down to the river bank, which takes around 2 hours. You will then board a river boat down to Muang Ngoi.

Muang Ngoi is a small village located under a massive limestone cliff. Then walk to an ancient cave and climbing up to the view point in the region.

Then return to the boat down to Sobjam village (the local weaving) and learn about local textiles and overnight at this village.

Day 2: Trekking to waterfall & Kayaking down to Nong Khiaw

After breakfast and say goodbye to the people in this village, you will trek out of Sobkong through rice paddies, country scenery and ending after climbing to jungle waterfall.

We break at the waterfall for lunch, swim and rest.

After lunch leave waterfall and head back down to Nam Ou River bank to kayak, our guide will give you safety briefing and sample introducing how to kayak on Fresh River.

You will get on your own kayak boat to paddle down to Nong Khiaw included passing the scenic view of river bank, villages and fisherman.

At the end of the kayaking you will be transported back to your accommodation.
