2-day, 1-night Homestay with Trekking and visits to waterfalls including kayaking and spending a night with a Khmu family homestay.
The Khmu settled in present-day Laos several thousands of years ago and are one of the most populous ethnic groups in Laos.
They are part of the Mon-Khmer branch of the Austro-Asiatic linguistic family.
The Khmu are divided into many sub-groups including the Khmu Lue, the Kwaen, the Rok, and the Ou, with the majority of Khmu in Luang Namtha being the Kwaen or the Rok.
Like many of the ethnic groups in Northern Laos, the Khmu are not Buddhist, but practice their own form of animism (spirit worship).
